McFadden, an absolute monster in college who seemed like a can’t miss prospect, hasn’t hit a thing yet.
He seems like he is always bothered by some type of injury, which is surprising given his muscular frame.
He has the blend of power and speed that few running backs possess, yet his career hasn’t taken off yet.
It looks like he has given up his starting spot to Michael Bush, putting him farther out of the spotlight.
]]>U2 was originally scheduled to play the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on June 20th. It has been rescheduled for June 7, 2011.
In May 2010, U2 had to postpone the start of their continuing 360 Tour. Bono was injured during the band’s tour preparation & training. As a result he was admitted to a specialist neurosurgery unit in a hospital in Germany, where he had emergency back surgery. A lengthy recovery period followed.
Paul McGuinness, U2’s manager, released an official statement thanking fans for their continual support, “We’re delighted the dates are rescheduled and in all the same venues we originally planned to play. It hasn’t been easy to accomplish this and I’d like to thank the managers of the many venues and sports teams across North America and Live Nation Global Touring for their help and cooperation in making this complex new plan possible. Above all we want to thank the U2 fans for bearing with us. They’re the best and the band wants to get back to where they belong, surrounded by their audience.”
]]>Dallas Braden, Gio Gonzalez and Justin Duchscherer have combined for eight victories in the first 24 games of the season.
The trio of starters has helped spark the Oakland A’s to first place in the AL West, although the route there wasn’t direct.
Oakland started the season 4-1, winning four straight games after losing on opening day. A three-game winning streak the next week pushed the A’s record to 9-4 on the season. But Oakland lost three games in a row after that, and closed the month on a four-game skid.
That brought the A’s back to .500 at 12-12, good enough for a ½ game lead over Texas in the West. The A’s stayed on top of the division Saturday, opening May with a 4-3 win at Toronto.
Gonzalez got the win, improving to 3-1 on the season. Braden also is 3-1, and Duchscherer is 2-1 with a 2.89 ERA.
